Operations Decision BI

From business databases to operational dashboards

Connect to your company’s PostgreSQL/MySQL databases, build queries with drag-and-drop, create charts and dashboards, keep metric definitions consistent, and schedule reports and alerts.

The starting point

Business data is already in the database, but each analysis still requires rewriting queries, finding charts and checking metric definitions.

How a workflow unfolds

This is a workflow description. A complete successful demonstration requires actual verification against the corresponding version.

  1. Connect a data source

Enter database connection details, test the connection, and select a business database permitted for analysis.

Expected result · Obtain a queryable data source and its table structures.

  2. Build a query

Select fields, filters and sort order, inspect the generated SQL, and execute it.

Expected result · Obtain a result set that can be checked against the original query.

  3. Organize charts and dashboards

Bind queries to charts, adjust dashboard layouts, and view details by dimension.

Expected result · Create an analytical view focused on a specific business question.

  4. Retain results and report

Save historical snapshots and select a report template and time range.

Expected result · The goal is historical results and business reports that can be checked; the complete export workflow awaits acceptance testing.

  • Metric center: manage metric names, formulas, versions and lineage in one place.Preview
  • Metric queries: query registered metrics through constrained rules.Preview
  • Reports: templates, scheduled runs, execution history and downloads. In development
  • Alerts and work orders: rule-based alerts and suppression; automatic work-order creation and recovery linking are targets still being verified. In development
